Church in the Park

It's the summer and so what better than to spend a few hours in the park with friends, talking about God, eating together and burning off lunch showing our sporting prowess (or lack of it). It was a good time. During the worship we spent time listening to God and the world around us (or God in the world around us). It's amazing what you hear when you stop and listen, from the singing of the birds to the flow of the river (slightly stagnant stream) behind us. The challenge this week is to listen more to what God is saying to us and to respond in faith to his voice. There were some great stories of God appointments that had taken place in the last week and I'm praying that we will see an increase of these. The picnic was excellent with James' pasta winning top picnic food award. The football was fast, furious and full of injuries. Marky V now has a broken toe, and Dan Rooney turned his ankle resulting in an x-ray that showed a broken meta tarsal although apparently he did this a while ago and didn't notice...A few piccies below.
